Northwest 200
The Northwest 200 is an extremely popular motorcycle racing event held every year in May at the famous Triangle. This is the largest outdoor sporting event in Northern Ireland and will mark its 100-year anniversary in 2029. It’s well known for its fast-paced action and attracts riders and crowds from around the world. There’s also plenty of entertainment to keep you going if you ever want to head away from the race track stands.
You might have heard of the Ulster Grand Prix, too. Unfortunately, it looks like this won’t be going ahead for the foreseeable future.
Classic Bike Festival
The Go Classic Bike Festival takes place on 3rd – 4th August 2024 and is a humungous festival, getting bigger and better every year. This year, there are over 230 riders and 280 bikes racing, and with parade laps, guest riders, displays, and more, this is a great weekend to look forward to all year. The event actually opens at 6pm on Friday the 2nd, with entertainment, live music, food, and drink – setting everyone up for a great weekend.
All-Year Motorbike Events

Not only do they provide excellent examples of vehicles long gone, but they also have the Museum of Innovation, which focuses on pioneers in the field. As a motorbike fan, you’ll be most interested in the Driven exhibition, which focuses on Northern Ireland’s great contribution to road racing over the years. It has recently reopened with seven new motorbikes added to its collection.
